The Bird Dog Arms BD-15 is a new semi-automatic rifle in 5.56 NATO with a 16-inch barrel topped by a birdcage flash hider. Its custom finish is a bronze Erbsenmuster pattern, and it wears a Thril stock and pistol grip. Capacity is 30 rounds. The supplier shows a stock photo rather than the exact rifle.

A 5.56 carbine with a distinctive finish suits a Texas shooter who wants something other than plain black on the range. The chambering is centerfire, so the Texas rimfire ban for white-tailed deer does not apply, and any legal firearm may be used in season, though the rifle's layout points to range and general use. The 16-inch barrel keeps it at a standard carbine length, the flash hider is a birdcage, and the Thril furniture is fitted from the factory. If you do want to hunt with it, your county page in the Outdoor Annual sets the bag limits and antler rules.
