The Bird Dog Arms BD-15 Brushed Woodland is a new semi-automatic rifle in 5.56 NATO with a 16-inch barrel and a birdcage flash hider. It wears a custom Brushed Woodland finish, an M-LOK handguard, and a Thril stock and pistol grip, and it feeds from a 30-round magazine. The image shown is a stock photo.

The woodland finish and M-LOK handguard set this rifle up for the field, with slots for a light, sling mount or bipod wherever you want them. In Texas, 5.56 is a centerfire cartridge and so not excluded for deer by the rimfire rule; whether it is a sensible pick for your county's deer is a question for the Outdoor Annual, which sets bag limits and antler rules county by county. The general season runs November 7, 2026 to January 3, 2027 in the North Zone, Bexar County and the Hill Country included, and to January 17, 2027 in the South Zone below U.S. Highway 90.
