Serial no. 54852. Manufactured in 1942 and subsequently converted to .410 caliber during the post-war period, 25″ round barrel. Bore is bright, and serial numbers are matching. The rifle remains in overall very good condition with only light handling and service wear noted. These .410 conversions were produced from former military Enfield rifles and saw post-war use in India, including service with police and prison guards. An interesting example of a WWII-era service rifle adapted for continued use following the war. Action functions correctly.
