Serial no. 528661. Manufactured circa 1942 by Inland, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18″ round barrel marked “INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 7-43.” Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Carbine displays post-war alterations including a four-rivet upper handguard, Type III adjustable rear sight, and later flip-style safety. The low-wood stock has been lightly refurbished with a faint cartouche remaining on the right side, while the sling well is marked “HI.” A desirable early Inland-produced M1 Carbine displaying the typical updates encountered during its post-war service life. Comes complete with oiler and sling. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
