The Bird Dog Arms BD-15 is a new 5.56 carbine built in Houston, with a 16-inch barrel, a free-float rail, an adjustable stock, a low-profile gas block and a birdcage flash hider. The supplier photo is a stock image. Note that the listing files it under handguns; with a 16-inch barrel it is a rifle-length carbine, not a pistol.

A Texas-built carbine for Texas buyers, this is a ranch, range and home-defense rifle, with the rail ready for an optic and a stock that adjusts to different shooters. Buying it follows the federal routine at the dealer: photo identification, ATF Form 4473 and the NICS check. Texas adds no purchase permit, no registration and no waiting period, and for a long gun the federal age floor is 18, with nothing added by the state. The free-float rail keeps hand pressure off the barrel.
