This Colt New Army is a civilian-model revolver in .41 Colt made in 1899, one of Colt's early swing-out-cylinder designs. The supplier calls it a very fine example and the details back that up: roughly 98 percent of the original finish remains, the bore is mirror bright with strong rifling and only a few small pits, the action works properly, and the grips are near excellent with no chips or cracks.
With that much original finish it is a collector's revolver rather than a shooter, and a Texas buyer will want it for a Colt display or a turn-of-the-century collection. Texas treats the purchase like any other handgun: no state permit, no registration, no waiting period. At the dealer you show photo identification and complete Form 4473, then either wait for the federal NICS check or present a current Texas License to Carry in its place; federal law requires the buyer to be 21.
