The Sig Sauer P238 is a micro-compact .380 with a 2.75-inch barrel, a metal frame, a hammer-fired single-action trigger and a manual thumb safety, finished in matte black. This modern-production example has a very good bore; the finish shows wear and the supplier rates the overall condition very good. Serial number 27A161938.

This is a deep-concealment pistol for Texas carry, the kind that rides in a pocket holster when a larger gun stays home. The single-action trigger with a thumb safety suits shooters who want a manual safety on a carry gun, and the metal frame adds weight that steadies a pistol this small. Texas asks for photo identification, Form 4473 and the federal NICS check at the dealer, or a current Texas License to Carry in place of the check; no state permit, registration or waiting period applies, and the federal age floor for a handgun is 21.
