Smith & Wesson made this Model 29-2 in 1977: a nickel-plated N-frame double-action revolver in .44 Magnum with a 6.5-inch barrel, checkered wood grips and the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder of its era. The bore is very good. Light wear and scuff marks show in the nickel, with most of the plating intact, and the grips show wear but keep strong checkering. Overall condition is very good. Serial number N400951.
A nickel 29 with a 6.5-inch barrel is a range and collector revolver more than a carry gun, and a .44 Magnum of this period is the kind of piece collectors look for. Buying it works like any handgun in Texas: photo identification at the dealer, Form 4473 and the NICS check, with a current Texas License to Carry accepted in place of that check. No state permit, no registration and no waiting period apply, and the federal age floor for a handgun is 21.
